AspenBio names new COO and chief medical officer

Dr Caspari’s initial primary responsibilities will include managing the development, FDA clinical trial and submission activities for AppyScore, the company’s diagnostic test for human appendicitis.

Most recently, Dr Caspari served as CEO of Living Cell Technologies, a biotechnology company. Dr Caspari has received a BA in psychology from University of California, Los Angeles and his medical degree from Georgetown University.

Daryl Faulkner, executive chairman of AspenBio Pharma, said: “Robert’s extensive medical, product development and business background will be invaluable to AspenBio. His experience in advancing diagnostic products through to commercialization, especially those being used today in hospital emergency rooms, will play an important role as we advance our AppyScore product to market.”
