Physicians Interactive acquires Univadis

Physicians Interactive has acquired Univadis, a medical resource for healthcare professionals.

Merck owns both Physicians Interactive and Univadis. Financial terms of transaction were not disclosed.

Univadis’s membership includes over 3 million healthcare providers in more than 90 countries.

It provides medical news, conference reports, references, textbooks and online education modules for healthcare providers.

The Univadis platform will now operate as part of Physicians Interactive, which provides insight-driven, digital engagement solutions for healthcare professionals and consumers.

Physicians Interactive chairman and CEO Donato Tramuto said: "Adding Univadis to the Physicians Interactive brand underscores our mission to advance health engagement across the entire spectrum, as well as across the globe.

"With the expanded reach and rich medical content this acquisition offers, we are even better positioned to provide the end-to-end solutions our commercial partners need to deeply engage healthcare professionals – resulting in greater awareness and better health outcomes."

Earlier this year, Physicians Interactive acquired physician network QuantiaMD. The company purchased Tomorrow Networks in 2014.

Physicians Interactive provides digital engagement solutions to payors, retailers and life science companies to reach, message, educate and change behaviors.
