OccuLogix, an ophthalmic device company, doing business as TearLab has appointed Anthony Altig to its board of directors. Mr Altig will also serve as the chairman of the audit committee of the board.

Mr Altig is the CFO at Pelican Life Sciences, a manufacturer of microbiological and molecularbiological consumables. Mr Altig has also served as a director of Optimer Pharmaceuticals since November 2007.
In addition, Mr Altig currently serves as a director and chair of the audit committee for MultiCell Technologies, a biopharmaceutical company. Mr Altig has received a BS degree from the University of Hawaii.
