news.Custom Spine, a developer of spinal implants, has appointed Lew Bennett as its new president. Mr Bennett will serve on the company's board of directors.

Mr Bennett has held senior executive positions with several companies in the orthopedic and spine industry including: executive vice president, officer, and board member of NuVasive; early investor, executive vice president, officer and director of Sofamor Danek; president of general medical division at Smith & Nephew and president of Dillion Manufacturing.
