Adaltis names new vice-president of finance

Adaltis, a Canadian in vitro diagnostic company, has appointed Ellen Cheung as its new vice-president of finance. Ms Cheung will be reporting to Pierre Larochelle, president and CEO of the company.

Prior to joining Adaltis, Ms Cheung worked at Sanofi and at Dystar China, a spin off company of BASF. Ms Cheung will replace Jacques Deforges, the company’s current vice-president and CFO, who will leave the company to pursue other interests.

Ms Cheung has graduated from the University of Western Ontario, in Canada, and has more than 20 years of experience in finance and management in Canada and China.

Mr Larochelle said: “This appointment is consistent with the company’s plan is to strengthen our China management team and create a China-based provider of in vitro diagnostic systems in emerging markets, with special focus on China. Mr Larochelle also thanked Mr Deforges for its contribution to the evolution of Adaltis over the last four years.”
