news.Italy-based medical technology company Sorin Group has settled a lawsuit related to its supply agreement with US-based ATS Medical, a developer and marketer of medical devices. Under the agreement, ATS will pay to Sorin Group $7.5 million in damages.

Brian Sheridan, general counsel of the Sorin Group, said: “This settlement, following the US District Court’s denial of ATS’s motion to dismiss, is very favorable to Sorin Group. The settlement also confirms the strength of our position and shows that we will vigorously enforce our legal rights.”
