news.Swiss-based Octapharma, a plasma products company, has selected Dennis Curtin to lead the company's plasma operations in the US. Mr Curtin had been Octapharma's US legal counsel since 2002 and will now serve as president of Life Therapeutics.

Mr Curtin will also be responsible for Octapharma’s recovered plasma program operated in conjunction with Group Services for America’s Blood Centers and Octapharma’s source plasma contracts with independent plasma suppliers in the US.
Octapharma recently acquired Life Therapeutics, an Atlanta company that operates 12 plasma centers in the US with approximately 300 employees. Octapharma’s business plan is to own and operate approximately 50 plasma centers in the US with a projected 1,500 employees.
