China clears Synutra’s new drying facility in France

Synutra International has received the approvals from China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and its Ministry of Commerce (MC) for the construction of a new drying facility in France.

On 18 September 2012, Synutra had signed a long-term industrial and commercial partnership agreement with France-based dairy cooperative Sodiaaland and its subsidiary Euroserum, a producer of demineralized whey powders.

As per the agreement, Synutra will construct a new drying plant in Carhaix, France, to manufacture powdered milk and fat-enriched demineralized whey for the needs of the Synutra group.

Synutra chairman and CEO Liang Zhang said, "It is a very notable achievement for Synutra to have received the required approvals for our French project by the Chinese government and we look forward to moving ahead with the development of this new drying facility."
