Vetter center for visual inspection and logistics clears FDA GMP inspection

Vetter Pharma has cleared the first GMP inspection of its new center for visual inspection and logistics, Ravensburg Vetter West (RVW), conducted by the US FDA.

The 18,000m² facility earlier obtained manufacturing approval and cGMP certification from the RP Tuebingen, Germany.

Vetter managing director Thomas Otto said, "We at Vetter work diligently to meet regulatory requirements. Maintaining high quality standards is a job we take seriously to be a reliable and efficient partner for our customers."

The site that began operations in April 2012 houses warehouse facilitating cold storage and room-temperature products in addition to visual inspection.

RVW is designed to use renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic and geothermal.

Vetter is a contract development and manufacturing organization focused on the production of aseptically prefilled syringe systems, cartridges and vials.
