Arizona, Ramsell to provide medications for eligible HIV/AIDS patients

Ramsell has teamed up with the Arizona Department of Health Services in the US, to provide access to HIV/AIDS medications for eligible patients through the state AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP).

Arizona ADAP serves more than 850 low-income HIV/AIDS patients with limited or no coverage from private insurance or Medicaid.

Ramsell currently manages the seventh state ADAP program.

Ramsell, to expand patient access to medication, established a statewide network of more than 400 pharmacies to ensure patients did not have to travel far to fill their prescriptions.

Ramsell business services division president Sophia Byndloss said, "At Ramsell, we are focused on improving the health and safety of HIV/AIDS patients and are proud to draw upon our years of experience working with ADAP programs around the country to ensure patients have access to live-saving medications in Arizona."

Apart from providing traditional pharmacy benefits management services, Ramsell will also look after the state’s ADAP Assist program available to current Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan (PCIP) enrollees.
