news.American health care company Baxter International has announced that its BioPharma Solutions business has begun the expansion of its cytotoxic contract manufacturing facility in Halle, Germany.

The firm said it is adding another 1,750m² space to the facility, which continues to grow and aims to meet the needs of growing clients for cytotoxic manufacturing.
According to the firm, the new expansion plan will further improve Halle’s complete range of resources to support early phase drug formulation through commercial scale-up, product launch and lifecycle management.
The expansion is expected to be completed by 2015 and increase the current workforce in Halle by approximately 10%.
