UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center joins WIN Consortium

The University of California San Diego Moores Cancer Center has joined the Worldwide Innovative Network (WIN) Consortium as a member to advance personalized cancer medicine.

UCSD Moores possess a faculty including Nobel Laureates and members of the National Academy of Sciences, biobanking expertize, and a new Center for Advanced Laboratory Medicine set to conduct the advanced genome-wide sequencing techniques.

WIN Consortium chairman Dr. John Mendelsohn said, "With its advanced technical capabilities and talented, motivated scientists, the Moores Cancer Center significantly enhances WIN’s ability to bring the latest advances in personalized cancer medicine to patients."

Paris-based WIN Consortium is a worldwide network of 29 organizations from the academic, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare IT, and patient advocacy sectors.

Consortium works, through clinical trials and research projects, to advance the cancer development and reduce translation cost of novel cancer therapies to bedside for patients worldwide.
