GeneTex to introduce new EasyBlot secondary antibody

GeneTex is set to introduce new EasyBlot secondary antibody for the optimization of immunoprecipitation (IP) experiments.

The secondary antibody reagent is designed to eliminate the interference that interferes with IP experiments when the IP and western blot primary antibodies are from the same host.

HRP-conjugated secondary antibody reacts with the native, non-reduced primary antibody used for the western blot and ignores the reduced, denatured antibody chains of the IP antibody.

GeneTex product quality manager Dr. Chun-Chiang Wen said, "GeneTex’s EasyBlot reagent has been thoroughly optimized to ensure that there will be no interference from the heavy and light chains in IP experiments."

Interference caused by the heavy (~50 kDa) and light (~25 kDa) chains of the IgG used for IP can be decreased when EasyBlot is used as a second step reagent.

The reagent can be utilized in IPs and co-IPs using Protein A-, Protein G-, or agarose-conjugated antibodies, according to the company.

EasyBlot reagents detect primary antibodies from rabbit, mouse, rat, goat and sheep hosts.
