Humedica, Pfizer collaborate for data-driven research

Pfizer and Humedica have formed a multi-year strategic partnership to jointly advance capabilities to receive insights from real world data.

As part of the alliance, the companies will conduct data-driven collaborative research to leverage Humedica’s experience to gather and normalise de-identified healthcare data from disparate systems and Pfizer’s expertise in researching, developing and commercializing medicines to prevent and treat health conditions.

Humedica president and CEO Michael Weintraub said Pfizer aims to deliver medicines at optimal effectiveness and efficiency.

”Humedica is pleased to be Pfizer’s clinical informatics and analytics partner, applying Big Data solutions across the continuum of care," Weintraub added.

Pfizer specialty care business unit president and general manager Geno Germano said the collaboration with Humedica will provide information about healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.

"By combining leading-edge analytics with unique real world data sets, we believe we can identify actionable insights and potentially improve patient outcomes and overall health," Germano added.
