Walgreens acquires UCH Pharmaceutical Services

The Transition Companies (TTC) has announced the acquisition of UCH Pharmaceutical Services (UCH) by Walgreens.

TTC transactions operations director Brandon Fitzgerald said TTC is pleased to close the transaction for UCH, who had built a local business that served community for almost two decades.

”Our client was able to choose between competing offers, ultimately deciding that Walgreens was best suited to care for its customers after the transition," Fitzgerald added.

TTC acted as UCH’s sole contract service provider for the transaction.

The transaction will benefit both the parties and allow Walgreens to increase market share and the UCH shareholders to achieve liquidity and transition goals.

UCH is an independent retail pharmacy, which provides specialty compounding services throughout Grant County, Indiana, US, for many years while Wallgreens is a pharmacy health care provider in the US with 8,000 locations.

US-based TTC is a Mergers and Acquisitions ("M&A") firm that provides business optimization consulting services for companies and has offices throughout the US and Canada.
