Sucampo Pharmaceuticals names new head of sales and marketing

Mr Miele will report directly to Ryuji Ueno, chairman and CEO, and will be responsible for Sucampo’s sales and marketing, as well as its business development efforts.

Mr Miele has joined Sucampo in February 2006 as director of national sales and was promoted to vice president of sales in October 2007. Mr Miele has earned a BA in management/communications from the University of Dayton.

Sucampo Pharmaceuticals has also announced that Brad Fackler, executive vice president of commercial operations, will leave the organization. Mr Fackler has agreed to remain at Sucampo for a period of time to assist in the transition of responsibilities.
