news.VertiFlex, a privately held spinal medical device company, has appointed Michel Hughes as its new vice president of international sales. Mr Hughes will manage the international sales and distribution for the company.

For the past 15 years, Mr Hughes held senior management positions in Biomet, previously Interpore Cross, serving as vice president of Western US sales and international. Mr Hughes led the development and expansion of the international marketplace for Interpore Cross.
Earl Fender, president and CEO of VertiFlex, said: “Mike will continue to drive the international distribution for VertiFlex while expanding further markets such as Europe, South America, and Asia Pacific. Mike is a valuable addition to the VertiFlex team.”
