Tessenderlo plans to sell pharma ingredients plants

Tessenderlo Group is planning to sell its pharmaceutical ingredients plants, Farchemia and Calaire Chimie to International Chemical Investors Group.

The employee representatives of Farchemia in Italy and Calaire Chimie in France have been informed regarding the launch of consultation procedures, according to Tessenderlo.

Tessenderlo by divesting intends to strengthen its specialty products and services in the areas of food, agriculture, water management and valorizing bio-residuals.

Tessenderlo’s pharma business unit supplies intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients for international pharmaceutical companies, both for the branded and the generic markets.
