Life Spine launches new anterior lumbar fusion system

Life Spine, a spinal implant company, has launched Apex, a system that can be used for anterior, antero-lateral and lateral fusion procedures.

According to the company, the versatile instrumentation and flexibility of the Apex system allows surgeons to match the surgical approach to the specific pathology of the patient.

In addition, Apex incorporates the following features: comprehensive anatomic size offering; innovative graft window design; color-coded instrumentation and implants; and implants manufactured from Invibio PEEK-Optima, the company said.

Michael Butler, Life Spine’s president and CEO, said: “The Apex system is the first of many launches that will allow Life Spine to compete in the anterior lumbar fusion space. We are excited about the Apex product line because it provides surgeons another option to better serve their patients, while staying true to the company’s commitment of providing innovative products that focus on efficiency in the operating room.”
