AB SCIEX launches new liquid chromatography instrument

AB SCIEX has launched the Eksigent ekspert nanoLC 400 system for next-generation proteomics and data-independent workflows, such as MS/MS with SWATH acquisition.

The liquid chromatography instrument provides plug-and-play interchangeability between nano LC and micro LC on the same platform for discovery proteomics and peptide quantitation.

AB SCIEX ekspert nanoLC 400 system product manager Remco van Soest said the laboratories no longer need separate LC systems to go from discovery to verification and validation in the protein biomarker research continuum, as the ekspert nanoLC 400 system bridges the gap between low flow and higher flow rates in LC/MS workflows.

"The plug-and-play functionality of the nanoLC system opens up new possibilities for biomedical and proteomics researchers," Remco van Soest added.

The nanoLC 400 system enables highly reproducible proteomics across a range of workflows in multi-user, multi-instrument laboratories when combined with the existing Eksigent cHiPLC system.

The cHiPLC system is a chip-based platform that serves as a docking station for easy switching between different types of experiments, such as direct injection and trap-loading, according to AB SCIEX.
