Bayer launches new OTC medication for migraine treatment

Bayer HealthCare's consumer care division has launched a new over-the-counter (OTC) medication, Bayer Migraine Formula, to help patients suffering with devastating pain of migraine.

Bayer Migraine Formula contains 250mg of aspirin, 250mg of acetaminophen and 65mg of caffeine, similar to the company’s previous formulation, Excedrin Migraine.

In addition to migraine pain, the triple action formula of aspirin, acetaminophen and caffeine relieves accompanying symptoms caused by migraine pain including nausea, phonophobia and photophobia.

Bayer marketing director Reese Fitzpatrick said consumers have been extremely vocal about the lack of OTC options tough enough to target throbbing migraine pain.

"With Bayer Migraine Formula, we can offer an effective migraine solution that consumers desperately want and need," Fitzpatrick added.
