Life Technologies, Sino Biological partner for product development

The partnership will facilitate both the companies to develop new products and allow Life Technologies to distribute Sino Biological’s recombinant proteins, antibodies and Elisa kits.

Life Technologies expects the partnership to accelerate Chinese science and biotechnology industry.

Life Technologies chairman and CEO Gregory Lucier said the collaboration will allow proteomics portfolio to meet customer needs.

"Through this collaboration we plan to leverage our strong brands, worldwide commercial reach and technology support with Sino Biological’s world leading technologies to develop solutions for scientists worldwide who are tackling important healthcare challenges such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease." Lucier added.

Sino Biological president and CEO Liangzhi Xie said the partnership will allow the companies to bring research tools to scientists allowing them to progress in life science research and drug discovery.

The duo will distribute more than 6000 human-derived proteins and antibodies, which will complement Novex and Gibco branded reagents from Life Technologies, according to Life Technologies.

Proteomic products for additional applications including flow cytometry and imaging technologies will also be co-developed.
