Decode reaches settlement with Philadelphia hospital

Decode genetics has settled its litigation with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, or CHOP, and several former Decode employees who left the company to work for the hospital.

The Icelandic biotech drug developer had filed the suit in the US District Court in Philadelphia in an attempt to stop former employees and the hospital from using its trade secrets.

The parties will exchange mutual releases and the litigation will be dismissed with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled.
