As part of the non-exclusive long-term collaboration agreement, clinical systems company Ventana and biotechnology research company Genentech will develop the diagnostic tests for therapeutic candidates designated by Genentech.
Ventana said that it will receive service fees throughout the development process, and in conjunction with the therapeutic candidate obtaining regulatory approval, will have rights to commercialize any potential associated companion diagnostic test.
The financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
