Frutarom unveils new line of ingredients for immune health market

The new line, which includes highly bioavailable forms of minerals such as copper and zinc, is designed to prevent infection and re-infection, improve infection fighting, recovery and relief.

Each ingredient was formulated with specific activity, such as antiviral, antimicrobial or cold and flu relief.

Frutarom Health product manager Adeline Prevost said, "All Frutarom products are versatile enough to allow the creation of custom-designed formulations."

The company has also included Echinacea and Pelargonium-based ingredients which are scientifically supported for effectiveness and produced in Frutarom’s Swiss facility, under strict PIC-GMP certification guidelines and in line with ecological principles.

Echinacea EFLA894 is a dry pressed herb juice usually used as an immune tonic and to treat cough and cold symptoms.

Pelargonium EFLA956, a root extract from Pelargonium sidoides DC, can help speed recovery from cold and flu while reducing the severity and duration of the associated symptoms.
