Almac installs UPS 4 blister line at US packaging facility

The UPS 4 blister line provides primary packaging into a series of materials including PVC, PVC/PVDC, Aclar and Alu/Alu, by processing solid oral dose products.

Almac manufacturing operations VP Geoff Sloan said, "Uhlmann were able to provide us with a versatile, high-spec blistering line to match ourUSclient requirements for a high quality, flexible commercial packaging solution."

The line, with an integrated C2206 cartoner, will offer packaging solution with 12,000 blisters per hour output, in a series of blister sizes.

A Total Quality Control Centre (TQCC) is included in the line, incorporating a checkweigher and integrated print and vision system for auto-rejection of incorrect print / serialization data.
