news.Berry & Associates has signed an agreement with Applied Biosystems to supply a key reagent for Applied Biosystems's genomic analysis platform, the SOLiD system.

As part of a five year agreement, Berry & Associates is providing Applied Biosystems a custom nucleoside phosphoramidite that meets the high purity standards required for synthesis of the oligonucleotide probes that are used in the SOLiD system.
Jack Hodges, vice president of chemistry at Berry & Associates, said: “We are extremely pleased that the exploratory synthesis project we initially carried out for Agencourt Personal Genomics has matured into a significant manufacturing relationship with Applied Biosystems.
