ZoomMed signs software development deal with Sharpe Medical

ZoomMed has signed a $1m software development agreement with US-based Sharpe Medical Consulting to build and commercialize an electronic medical record (EMR) throughout North America.

The EMR will provide an easy way to incorporate Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) criteria, psychiatric practice guideline-based clinical decision support and patient education material at the point of care.

This note-writer module will comprise a comprehensive patient summary, a reports section and a clinical library.

ZoomMed president and CEO Yves Marmet said they have delivered great workflows to behavioral health providers that incorporate the DSM-4 criteria and clinical decision support at the point of care.

Sharpe Medical Consulting president Charles Motsinger said ZoomMed’s intuitive and simple interface along with a database makes them the suitable partner for this project.
