Anatabloc is a dietary supplement that contains active dietary ingredients, anatabine citrate and Vitamins A and D3, designed to provide anti-inflammatory support.
The study entitled "A Multi-Site, Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled, Parallel-Group Trial to Evaluate the Safety and Potential Effects of the Dietary Supplement Anatabine on Antithyroid Autoantibodies and Thyroid Function in Subjects with Autoimmune Thyroiditis" enrolled 120 patients.
The IRB approved trial has successfully selected five clinical sites in Texas, Illinois and Florida for its upcoming Anatabloc Supplementation Autoimmune Prevention (ASAP) thyroid study.
The ASAP study is the second large multi-site double-blind placebo-controlled trial involving an Anatabloc formulation.
Anatabloc is available for purchase through a dedicated product website and via GNC’s Internet storefront.
The ASAP study is likely to be conducted during spring and summer 2012, and expects a mid-year look at interim data from that study as well.
