Prime-A-Pump allows healthcare professionals to configure the safety limits within their pump drug library software, thereby preventing serious medication administration errors.
The tool utilises an evidence- and experience-based methodology to provide practical recommendations for configuring the safety limits within smart pump drug libraries and to save hospital’s time in researching and updating their drug libraries as well as in communicating and building consensus with colleagues.
Middlesex Hospital is already using the Hospira Plum A+ smart infusion pump.
