The medical center will implement the EMPI solutions to increase data accuracy and minimize duplicate patient records.
The 643-bed acute care facility can identify and resolve overlapping or duplicate patient records stored within their information systems using QuadraMed’s identity management solution.
The EMPI solutions will be implemented before the enterprise-wide implementation of an electronic health record (EHR) system.
Westchester Medical Center senior vice president and CIO John Moustakakis said that the QuadraMed’s EMPI solutions will pave the way for our EHR implementation.
"EMPI solutions will enable us to cleanse the existing master patient index, decrease duplicate records and build an integrated platform for accessing and managing patient data throughout the enterprise," Moustakakis added.
