Labs establishes new testing facilities in St Louis and Philadelphia

Labs, a transplant medicine reference laboratory, has opened two new facilities located in St Louis, Missouri and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The new facilities will offer the full-range of infectious disease testing for transplant organizations in these regions.

By opening these laboratories, Labs now allows local and regional organ procurement organizations, eye and tissue banks and reproductive banks to receive vital donor suitability and eligibility testing and results back within a critical window of time.

In an effort to best serve the transplant community from coast to coast, Labs plans to open additional regional centers as part of its strategic growth plan.

Elizabeth Hearty, CEO of Labs, said: “Labs is committed to meeting the needs of the transplant community to help improve the safety and efficiency of all testing for organ and tissue transplants. Expanding our offerings to organizations in the Midwest and Northeast will allow thousands more patients to receive the safest possible transplant outcomes.”
