Melt extrusion, which is a method for drug production is believed to enhance drug delivery as it enables administration of poorly soluble drugs with low bioavailability in tablet or granulate formats.

In this process the need for additives like solvents or drying processes is eliminated thereby improving production and cost savings.

Bosch claims that its equipment which is compliant with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, uses the same interface and software for ease-of-use and efficiency benefits.
