Cuba to combat cancer with new biotechnological branch

Cuba has developed a biotechnological branch for the production of therapeutic vaccines and development of various treatments to combat cancer.

Researchers from Cuba intend to step-up the national production of antineoplastic and complementary drugs, besides making biotechnological products, cubanews.ain.cu reported citing cubadebate.cu.

It is estimated that following the implementation of cancer prevention programs, the country can cut down over 10,000 new cases every year.

Recently, Cuba signed agreements with China to take up development of vaccines and other biomedical products, besides devising methods for bilateral prevention, early diagnosis, and cancer control.
