Wake Forest selects Huron CTMS to automate clinical trials

US-based Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center has selected Huron Consulting Group's Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS) to automate clinical trials business processes, including budgeting, sponsor billing, participant tracking, and reporting.

Huron Life Sciences’ Click Portal software is believed to help re-engineer specific processes, streamline information flows, provide accurate detailed budgets, and eliminate billing inconsistencies.

The new software will be integrated with the medical center’s business systems including Click-based electronic Institutional Review Board (eIRB) and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (eIACUC) solutions.

Wake Forest Baptist’s Translational Science Institute Clinical Research Resources director Kevin High said the Click CTMS would help them in improving the accuracy of scheduling and tracking research visits for enrolled subjects.

"In addition, by linking to our Click eIRB for human studies oversight and other systems for tracking clinical charge code data, the Click CTMS will integrate all business information relevant to a research study, further speeding trials from startup to completion," High added.
