Verisys introduces new online credentialing system

The new system can be accessed through any computer, tablet or smartphone, the company said.

CheckMedic helps healthcare organizations by checking and verifying the credentials, background data and self-reported information of their providers.

In addition, it monitors dynamic credentialing data in real-time, alerts organizations of provider status changes and handles all aspects of peer referencing.

Verisys chief operating officer and co-founder John Benson said healthcare credentialing, recruitment, onboarding and compliance had been inefficient and expensive and hopes CheckMedic will address the issue.
