CCO adds new database to inPractice

Clinical Care Options (CCO), a developer of online medical education programs, has added ClinicalTrials.gov database to CCO inPractice, an online resource pertaining to HIV and oncology.

ClinicalTrials.gov provides updated information on federally and privately supported clinical trials for a wide range of diseases and conditions.

Currently, the database comprises 113,224 sponsored trials conducted in all 50 states and in 176 countries.
CCO inPractice features a Web-based specialty-specific search interface that provides simultaneous access to multiple educational resources designed to improve clinicians’ knowledge.

The company said less than 3% of cancer patients enter clinical trials in the US though trials are readily available in many parts of the country.

Integrating this database into inPractice would be beneficial for practicing clinicians, the company added.
