National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) in India has entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Russian government.

Russian government has signed the agreement on behalf of Volgograd State Medical University, which will work with NIPER on pharmaceutical research, pharmabiz.com reported.
NIPER director Professor KK Bhutani said following the collaboration the institutions would share information and work together to do research related activities.
The deal aims to develop the Russian pharmaceuticals industry by making use of foreign experience in research and production.
Currently, NIPER is conducting research in various fields including cancer, malaria, tuberculosis, fusion inhibitors of H1N1 virus, leishmaniasis and anti-HIV research.
