Xendo, Batavia in biopharma process collaboration

Xendo, an independent consultancy and project management organization in the life sciences, pharmaceutical and healthcare fields, has transferred all bioprocess activities of Xendo Manufacturing to biopharmaceutical process development services company Batavia Bioservices.

Under a business collaboration signed between the two companies, Batavia Bioservices will get access to simulated moving bed (SMB) purification technology as well as infrastructure, knowledge and experience in microbial process and product development.

The companies will establish joint marketing efforts whereby Xendo BV will provide engineering, regulatory and clinical support services and Batavia Bioservices will provide process development and analytical services.

Xendo CEO André van de Sande said by combining forces both companies are better positioned to service customers and this helps the company, both in the Netherlands and international, to further expand.
