Skystar Q2 revenue up

Skystar Bio-Pharmaceutical, a China-based manufacturer of veterinary medicines and vaccines, has reported net revenue of $10m for the second quarter ended 30 June 2011, compared to $8.26m for the same period in 2010.

The company has posted a net income of $1.51m for the second quarter of 2011, compared to $2.38m for the same period in 2010.

Skystar’ income from operations were $1.53m, compared to $2.74m for the same period prior year.

For the six months ended 30 June 2011, the company reported net revenue of $16.18m, compared to $13.13m for the same period in 2010.

Skystar has reported net income of $3.44m for the six months ended 30 June 2011, compared to $3.47m for the same period in 2010.

For the six months ended 30 June 2011, the company’s income from operations was $3.18m, compared to $4.48m for the same period prior year.

Skystar chairman and CEO Weibing Lu said the company has funded product development internally and expanded its distribution footprint while still achieving revenue growth for the quarter as compared to the same period a year ago.
