Cilag acquires JB Chemicals OTC brands

Cilag, a Switzerland-based subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson (J&J), has acquired JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals' over the counter (OTC) brands for around $245m.

J&J signed a definitive agreement to acquire JB Chemicals in 26 May 2011, as part of its plan to widen its presence in Russia.

The acquisition includes multi-symptom cough and cold brand RINZA, DOKTOR MOM and other brands.

The products are expected to be marketed by J&J and its affiliates in Russia, Commonwealth of Independent States and other countries.
