news.mtm laboratories has appointed Bob Silverman as its new CEO. Mr Silverman has been the mtm's chief commercial officer and the president of the mtm US subsidiary since mid 2005.

Heidelberg will continue to be the company’s headquarters though Mr Silverman is based at the US subsidiary in Westborough, Massachusetts.
Gerald Moller, chairman of mtm laboratories’ supervisory board, said: “Bob joined us at a pivotal point when mtm was preparing to bring its first products to the market and has played a key role in the successful commercialization of CINtec Histology, CINtec Cytology and the Cervatec Assay.
“His contributions have been crucial to the evolution of mtm into an integrated, global operation. We are confident that he possesses the skills and the leadership qualities to take mtm to the next stage in the development and commercialization of mtm’s products.”
