Currently, Lanxess is supplying specialty chemicals, color pigments to the Middle East customers for the construction industry and high-tech plastics and rubbers.
The company has named Elie Saad as the new managing director of Lanxess Middle East GmbH, who earlier held various positions in the Lanxess group.
Lanxess Board of Management member Werner Breuers said the markets of the Middle East offer Lanxess interesting prospects, both in terms of raw material supply and because of the increasing demand there for quality products.
"Through an increased presence we would like to more effectively evaluate and exploit this strategic potential," said Breuers.
