Hamamatsu Photonics claims that its new product provides high resolution, high sensitivity and high speed imaging for advanced applications.
The camera contains back-thinned EMCCD with Peak Quantum Efficiency in excess of 90%.
The ImagEM 1K features repeatable 16-bit data acquisition up to 242 frames/sec.
With 1M pixels at 13µm, it is possible to capture signals with high dynamic range; EM gain of up to 1200 ensures that even the weakest signals will be visible, the company said.
