Orthofix signs license agreement with TSRHC

Orthofix International has announced that through its subsidiary, Orthofix, it has entered into a 10-year exclusive license agreement with Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children extending their current collaboration which provides the True/Lok external fixation system to the global orthopedic market.

True/Lok is a versatile, lightweight system designed to correct limb deformities, treat bone fractures and lengthen limbs using a simpler frame, according to Orthofix International.

In addition to marketing the current True/Lok system, the arrangement provides for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) and Orthofix to collaborate in the development and marketing of future versions of the True/Lok system introduced to the medical community during the term of the agreement.

Alan Milinazzo, CEO of Orthofix International, said: “This agreement demonstrates the company’s commitment to maintain its role as a significant participant in the global orthopedic fixation market. This collaboration is an important example of our ongoing focus on the development of innovative, minimally invasive treatments around the world.”
