Teledyne DALSA to unveil BOA IDR for parts tracking, verification

Teledyne DALSA, a Canada-based company that designs, develops, manufactures and markets digital imaging products and solutions, is set to launch new BOA IDR product for automotive, electronics, packaging and pharmaceutical industries.

Teledyne DALSA, a Teledyne Technologies company, said its BOA IDR is ideal for part recognition, tracking and verification.

BOA IDR allows tracking parts along the assembly process and throughout the product life cycle.

It will also allow manufacturers to combine tracking with other inspection tasks, such as character reading and verification, to ensure all product markings match and are readable when they leave the factory floor.

Teledyne DALSA Industrial Products director Steve Geraghty said as an image-based ID reader BOA IDR offers robust 1D and 2D capabilities for part traceability, but it also offers trainable character and pattern recognition tools which customers can combine to satisfy a variety of identification and verification needs.
