news.Averion International, a clinical research organization specializing in oncology, cardiovascular diseases, and medical devices, has appointed Lawrence Hoffman as CFO. Mr Hoffman replaces Christopher Codeanne.

For the past four years, Mr Hoffman has served as executive vice president, general counsel, secretary and CFO at Encorium Group (formerly Covalent Group). There he added shareholder value through many accomplishments, including leading the company’s growth through acquisition initiatives and spearheading a return to profitability.
