MTBC proprietary EHR, MTBC EMR v 5.0 receive ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification

MTBC, a New Jersey-based health care IT company which provides medical billing solutions and practice management services to healthcare providers, has received the Complete EHR and 2011/2012 compliant certification for its proprietary EHR, MTBC EMR v 5.0 from the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT).

The CCHIT is an ONC Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB).

The 2011/2012 criteria support the stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible healthcare providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2011/2012 criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more (but not all) of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.

MTBC CEO Stephen Snyder said the certification demonstrates that the use of the company’s EHR is providing an intuitive, robust, fully-integrated and affordable EHR to users.
