Luminetx signs first series of distribution agreements

Luminetx has announced the signing of the first international distribution contracts for its signature product, the VeinViewer by Luminetx, which enables the company to begin overseas commercial shipments as early as the next few weeks.

Deals have been brokered with three international distributors to date – Pacific Medical, which will target select countries in Asia; Sanitas covering Turkey; and the Golden Triangle Organization, which will target countries in the Middle East. Demo units already have been shipped to the distributors, and Luminetx representatives will spend two weeks conducting extensive on-site product training with these companies starting the first week of March 2008.

Luminetx’s distributors will serve as a turn-key representative of the company in the international marketplace and will sell, service, demonstrate and market the VeinViewer product.

According to Chris Schnee, vice president of global marketing at Luminetx, the company is focusing on a data-driven market analysis to identify the top five target regions outside of the US, based on health care spending trends and well-developed distribution infrastructures. After these Tier 1 regions, Luminetx will move on to other regions of the globe.
