The web-based PILOT MES/WDS production management system from FELTEN is expected to increase Lonza’s fermentation capacities by 50%.
Lonza’s investment in the new multi-product manufacturing facility was necessary to meet the increasing demands for microbiological products for pharmaceutical applications, and human nutrition supplements.
Key to the success of the project was Lonza’s requirement for a combined Production Management and Weighing System of high quality which complied strictly with FDA and cGMP regulations.
The integrated Weighing and Dispensing System PILOT [WDS] is expected to guarantee the recipes production process.
WDS and MES work independently from special hardware, but interface with all available scales and terminals.
